Railway Rivals
Railway Rivals is a board game designed by D.G. Watts in the late 1970s, as a teaching aid in his geography lessons.
There isn't much on these pages, but I do have a copy of the third edition rules (dated 1980), which reads easier, and plays better (in my opinion) than the latest set
of rules (sixth edition).
Notable changes between the two sets of rules:
- The average die is not used for building in 3rd edition rules. This makes a lot of sense especially if you're playing the tournament rules option (since everyone gets the same roll) - in the 6th
edition rules, tournament rules are assumed to be compulsory.
