Another mysterious picture

Try to guess what this is a picture of. Just for fun, no brilliant big money prizes for guessing what it is, but I can tell you that the photograph was taken 2000-06-11 somewhere in London.

Prize winner this time is Mr William Hulley of Finchley, who wins a vodka and tonic in the Catcher in the Rye, Finchley. The picture is one of the supports from the Millenium Bridge, in London.
Prize winner of the previous competition was: Mr Philip Drawbridge of Tunbridge Wells correctly identified the picture as part of the Millenium Dome.
