Details of Joanne’s Hen Weekend

Here is some information on my hen weekend. The flights, minibus and hotel are now booked and so if you have any problems with the details below, please let me know as soon as possible.

Dates: Friday 7th, Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th April 2000. N.B. Don’t forget to book the Friday off work!!
Attendees: Hayley Bower, Vanessa Bower, Catherine Harding, Sarah Ivens, Excella Whayman, Ellen Ridgeway, Annalee Beckwith, Alison Ridgeway (Mum) and maybe a friend of Mum’s to be decided.
Flights:

The flight has been booked with easyJet http://www.easyjet.com. It is a ticketless airline and so is all we need to check in at the airport is our confirmation numbers. easyJet reserves the right to demand proof of identification so bring passport even though you probably won’t need it. Maximum baggage weight is 25kg per passenger.

OUTWARD FLIGHT:
Flight no. 71
From London Luton (LTN) to Glasgow (GLA)
Departing 07 Apr 00 at 07:35 local time
Arriving 07 Apr 00 at 08:45 local time

RETURN FLIGHT:
Flight no. 88
From Glasgow (GLA) to London Luton (LTN)
Departing 09 Apr 00 at 20:25 local time
Arriving 09 Apr 00 at 21:35 local time

N.B. the outward flight leaves at 07.35 in the morning on the Friday. If anyone would like to stay at my house on the Thursday they are welcome. I suggest that we either get a lift (Simon will probably be able to take 4 of us) or catch a Thameslink train to Luton Airport Parkway (London Bridge dep. 06.16 arr. 07.04 or dep. 5.34 arr. 6.31 or from Mill Hill Broadway – 5 mins from me dep. 06.28 arr. 6.53).

Minibus Hire:

I have booked a self drive minibus from L.C.H. http://www.lchcarhire.co.uk, (Commerce St Glasgow G2 8AD Tel: 0141 553 0858) which we will collect from Glasgow airport. Driver (Mum) needs to report to the Information Desk on the first floor. This way we can drive to Stranraer (around about 80 miles) stopping off en-route if desired.
Hotel:

We will be staying at the North West Castle Hotel in Stranraer (http://www.mcmillanhotels.com/html/northwc.html) for the nights of 7th and 8th April. This is a four star hotel with the following facilities: indoor curling rink, heated swimming pool with spa bath, saunas, sunbeds and multi-gym. The large games room offers short carpet bowling, snooker, pool and table tennis. I have booked 5 twin rooms, all en-suite. Our booking includes Dinner, Bed and Breakfast.
Costs: I will be arranging the flights, minibus hire and hotel deposit. You will need to pay for your hotel bill (probably on departure at £86.00 2 nights DBB), travel to and from Luton airport and any optional extra’s that we might do (although I think that the hotel and sightseeing should entertain us enough).
Dress: You should be able to work out what is appropriate but don’t forget swimwear/gym wear for use of the hotel facilities and something fairly dressy for evening meals. If you like walking, I think that the grounds are extensive so bring appropriate footwear. Bear in mind weight restriction of luggage on flight and available space for luggage on minibus (may not be much!!)
